What to expect

From the parking lot to the closing blessing, here’s how a Sunday morning at New Bethel unfolds.

01

Park on site and look for our greeters at the door. They’ll help you find a seat, the restrooms and the children’s rooms.

02

Settle in for worship

Worship begins at 9:00 AM with music, prayer, Scripture and a message you can carry into your week. Come as you are; there’s no dress code.

03

Kids and youth go to their classes

Children come forward for the Kingdom Kids Moment, then head to Kingdom Kids Church (9:15–10:00 AM). Youth Church meets 9:00–10:00 AM.

04

Stay and say hello

We close with a blessing that sends us out in peace. Afterwards, stay a while; we’d love to meet you and answer your questions.

Your kids will love Sundays here

Children are a joyful part of our church family. During worship, kids head to their own classes for Bible stories, songs and activities that help faith come alive at their level.

Good questions

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Whatever you’re comfortable in. You’ll see everything from jeans to Sunday best. God is far more interested in your heart than your outfit.

How long is the service?

About an hour. Worship starts at 9:00 AM and ends around 10:00 AM.

Do I have to be a Methodist, or even a Christian, to come?

Not at all. Whether you’ve followed Jesus for decades or are just curious about faith, you belong here. Come with your questions; we’ll walk with you.

What happens with my children?

Children begin worship with you. Early in the service, they’re invited forward for the Kingdom Kids Moment, five minutes in Scripture with one of our children’s ministry leaders. Then they head to Kingdom Kids Church (9:15–10:00 AM). Youth Church meets from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. A greeter will gladly show you the way and introduce you to the leaders.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

No. You won’t be asked to stand or speak. We’ll simply be glad you came,.

Can I watch online first?

Of course. We stream worship live on Facebook every Sunday at 9:00 AM, and past services are on our Watch page.

Where do I park?

Free parking is available on site at 131 N. Main Street, Glen Carbon. Get directions.
